Unique Summer Engagement Photoshoot Idea - Poker Night

When dreaming up what to do for your engagement session we always encourage couples to think outside the box! Photoshoots don’t have to be boring, and in fact, they should be totally unique! As a couple you have unique interests, date nights, favorite memories, etc. Use that information to create a one-of-a-kind photoshoot that will truly show off who you are as a couple! A great example is Carly & Alex’s summer engagement photoshoot. We decided on a quick game of poker—complete with funky visors, vintage player cards, and some thrifted finds.

This idea came together after one of our many trips to Vegas (and maybe a few drinks, haha). When you think of Las Vegas you probably picture poker tables in a vintage looking casino and you wouldn’t be far off! And if you haven’t been to Sin City and aren’t sure what kind of vibes Vegas gives off check out one of our Vegas weddings here.

We thought a couple playing a game of poker in an unusual setting would be an epic photoshoot idea. We already had some vintage playing cards stored away at home, and we had just thrifted the most epic retro card table from a local estate sale. Since Carly & Alex have an amazing vintage style (we cannot wait for their ‘70s style wedding coming up!) we knew they’d be the perfect couple for this kind of shoot!

So, if your planning your engagement session soon, let this photoshoot inspire you to think outside the box! And as always, be sure to hire us to help you dream up and create the perfect set up for the most unique engagement photos you can have (because you two definitely deserve it!).
